Are you a planner, or has God put dreams in your heart? Most of us pursue these dreams or plan out our days and weeks with purpose, but what happens when our plans fall apart? What do we do when our dreams shatter, and life as we know it turns in the opposite direction?

God is still good in seasons like this, but that doesn’t mean we don’t struggle to move forward in the wake of devastating loss. As we routinely shift between peace and panic, any new plan we make can easily be overpowered by dread and uncertainty. Stripped of the familiar, exhausted, and feeling fragile, we ask the Lord, “What do I do now?” Assuredly, he answers, Blessed is the woman who trusts in him. She is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither (Jeremiah 17:7, Psalm 1:3).
Join us as we discuss biblical principles for navigating times like this, choosing to abide with our Lord during the unexpected in-between seasons.

Dee’s adventures with Jesus Christ began when she was 24. She worked in hospitality management in Texas, Mississippi, NYC, and Chicago where she was a learner, trainer, teacher, and manager. In these roles, God taught her the essence of discipleship. In 2009, The Moody Church commissioned her as a missionary, and she taught Spiritual Life for seminary students in West Africa until the end of 2023. She is intrigued by the idea of how our Christian spirituality is connected to our daily work. In fact, she earned a doctorate degree in this topic. As Dee adjusts to life in the U.S., she’s watching for the Lord’s work and joining him as he invites her.
