PROGRAM D-8290

Our theme for this year’s 31st Annual Weekend Getaway is Transforming Grace. I chose this theme because I’m convinced my understanding of God’s grace is too shallow, and I want to grow in his grace. So our entire weekend will be devoted to the many realities of God’s grace.

One of our workshops is entitled “The Face of Grace,” and Rhonda O’Brien will talk about what that means. She says, “We know grace is amazing; we sing old hymns and new choruses about it. We say it before meals and name our daughters after it. But what does it look like—in the flesh—here on earth?” She will paint a clearer picture of how we can be the face of grace in our worlds.

I can’t wait to hear what she has to say because Rhonda knows how to unpack Scripture and make it alive. That’s true of our other speakers and of our musicians. In fact, this is what one woman said about last year’s retreat:

“Strictly Bible-based teaching, dynamic/gifted speakers, soul-uplifting music, wonderful Christian fellowship.”

That pretty much sums up what our weekend getaways are all about, and I’d love to welcome you to this year’s retreat, March 29-31 here in the Chicago area. Women come from many parts of the country for this weekend because they know from experience that it will be a weekend of spiritual renewal and encouragement, a time to hear from God, an investment in your spiritual growth, as well as a restful time of encouragement and fellowship.
