I’ve been encouraging you to use some sort of Prayer Journal to help you structure your prayer time and remember all you want to pray forI have found that this has greatly helped my own prayer life.

I encourage you to learn from the great books and devotionals on prayerLately my prayer life has been greatly blessed by John Baillie’s little book A Diary of Private PrayerI highly recommend it.

Also, I strongly encourage you to develop the habit of praying scripture. For example, you can pray for others using some of Paul’s marvelous prayersInstead of just “blessing everyone” who comes to mind, why not pray this for someone:

“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better” (Ephesians 1:17)

Pray scripture into your own lifeFor example, pray Romans 12:1-2:

“Lord, today I present my body to you as a living sacrifice; may it be holy and pleasing to you todayMay I not be conformed to this world today, but please transform me by renewing my mind, so that today I can approve what your will is for my life.”

There are so many, many passages you can pray into your lifeWrite them in your journal; pray them regularlyIt’s life-changing.
