Do you pray about everythingYou are missing one of your greatest privileges as a believer in Jesus Christ, and that is to bring everything to God in prayer.

And a third excuse is we don’t take everything to God in prayer is:

3.“I don’t know how to pray about it.”

Let me point out two wonderful passages that help us at those times.

2 Chronicles 20:12: O our God, will you not judge themFor we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking usWe do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.

There will always be times and things which are so large or so baffling, that you simply don’t know how to pray. Use Jehoshaphat’s prayer, and just tell God you don’t know what to do, but you’re still trusting in him.

Romans 8:26b says: We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

Isn’t this absolutely amazing? When you’re baffled, when you’re too emotionally involved to be objective, when you’re totally discouraged or confused, ask the Holy Spirit to pray for you in words that you cannot express.

4.“I know God is displeased with me so I can’t pray.”

Psalm 66:18 says“If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.” Cherishing sin is when we know what God wants us to do and we haven’t done itI strongly encourage you to deal with any areas of disobedience in your life at onceIf you don’t, prayer becomes futile, because God is not listening
