PROGRAM D-7268

Do you sometimes feel like you’re not good at sharing your faith and you’re a failure at witnessing to your coworkers?  I’m offering you some new ideas, some creative ways to break down barriers on the job so that you can communicate better with those coworkers you’re with each day.  Remember, no one is in your life by accident, and you never know which person that you rub shoulders with each day is really hungry to know about Jesus, if you could just find a creative and non-threatening way to share with him or her.

Idea #3:  Create Spiritual Themes Each Week

This idea would be between you and the Lord or maybe another Christian coworker.  Each week would be devoted to exhibiting a different fruit of the Spirit in your office.  These characteristics are listed in Colossians 3 and Galatians 5.

Let me illustrate how this would work.  Let’s say this week you choose kindness as your focus.  Each day you would pray specifically that God would give you a kind heart and a kind tongue toward all the people you work with and for.  You ask God to show you specific acts of kindness that you could do for others.  The goal might be to do at least one kind thing for someone every day.

Keep in mind that these kind things must not be done to make others obligated to you in any way, but simply because you want to be kind and you want to establish better and closer relationships with people.

I really like this idea because it will teach you so much about the practical application of God’s Word in your daily life and demonstrate to you how that will open new doors between you and others.  If you have a Christian coworker or even a Christian friend in another company, it would be really helpful to work on this project together.

Let me once again encourage you to keep an open mind and let the Spirit of God direct you to new ways of reaching out.  Sometimes we just get in our ruts, and we need some fresh ideas that will open up avenues of communication.
