PROGRAM D-8422

One of the principles of Scripture is that we should always celebrate God’s goodness to us, and never forget all that he has done! I am celebrating because this month marks the thirty-fifth anniversary of our program. The Christian Working Woman was first aired on one station in Chicago in August of 1984.

God has opened doors for us to grow, and now we’re heard on about 400 stations in the U.S. and internationally. The reason we’ve been able to continue is because so many people have supported us—both in prayer and financially. This email from a listener in Ohio is like many we receive:

I wanted to write and let you know that for the eleven-plus years my husband and I have been married, we have woken up to Christian radio, and our favorite program to listen to was yours. I always get up a little earlier in the morning than my husband, but I always ask him, “So what is Fran up to today?” Fran is part of our morning breakfast talk and there is not a day that goes by that we don’t talk about your show.

It’s so encouraging to hear how God has used our program in so many ways throughout these thirty-five years. It is truly hard to wrap my mind around the fact that we’ve been broadcasting for so many years! I must have begun at a very young age! Truthfully the years have flown by, and only eternity will reveal how God has used this ministry in the lives of many people—most of whom I’ve never heard from and will never meet this side of heaven.

My passion for this ministry has always been to encourage Christians—especially those in the workplace—to live out their faith in their everyday lives and reach their worlds for Jesus. We are all in full-time Christian service, and we have unique opportunities to touch our worlds with truth that can set people free.
