PROGRAM D-8286

What is grace? We sing about amazing grace and, somehow, we know it’s wonderful, but if you had to define it, what would you say?

Grace is the most important concept in the Bible! I’m not sure we’ll ever fully understand it this side of heaven, and we’ll probably spend an eternity mining the depths of its meaning. One writer said, “Grace is the love of God shown to the unlovely; the peace of God given to the restless; the unmerited favor of God.” Grace is getting what you don’t deserve and not getting what you do deserve. Honestly, you could talk endlessly about what grace is, and still find that words are inadequate.

That’s why we’ve chosen the theme Transforming Grace for this year’s 31st Annual Weekend Getaway, March 29 to 31. We’re devoting the entire weekend to help us experience and understand grace in a deeper way. The reason we continue to host these weekend events is because I see how lives are truly changed—encouraged and challenged, equipped and inspired—as we simply give God a weekend away from our busy lives to enjoy the fellowship of other believers and allow God’s Spirit to speak to us.

One woman who attended last year wrote this evaluation:

“Powerful. Professional. Packed with God’s wisdom, honesty, and grace.”

If you’ve not yet attended one of our weekend getaways, I want to encourage you to do so this year. It is a powerful weekend, and my objective is always to give you the wisdom and encouragement that comes from God’s Word. Ask a friend to join you or come alone—I promise you’ll make new friends quickly! We meet in a lovely hotel near Chicago, and you’ll enjoy the fellowship, the fun, and the food. You’ll take away a new appreciation of what it means to live in God’s grace.

All the details are online at christianworkingwoman.org where you can register. Don’t miss this: If you register by February 11, you get a significant early bird discount. Those dates again are March 29-31 for our 31st annual weekend getaway. The details are available now at christianworkingwoman.org, or call my office at 630.462.0552.
