Some days our lives feel like the houses Jesus talked about in Matthew 7. The wind and rain beat against every side, and sometimes we hold our breath, wondering if we can withstand another storm. Yet Jesus told the crowd that anyone who listened to his teaching and put it into practice would be like a person who built her house on a solid rock. This is the kind of faith we need—resilient in the face of every storm.
We are eager to be with you at our annual Weekend Getaway where we’ll worship together and learn from incredible speakers. This year we hope to reinforce your faith and help you withstand the world that tries to tear it down.
As followers of Jesus, we need Resilient Faith now more than ever before. Our prayer is that each of us would leave the Weekend Getaway with stronger, more resilient faith than before.

It’s Alicia Williamson Garcia’s personal mission to help people worldwide cultivate a biblical worldview. For 30 years, Alicia has ministered to the body of Christ through song and word, passionately articulating God’s truth. She is known for her unique ability to present a relevant message that reaches beyond cultural barriers, bridges generations, and brings unity to the Church. Alicia teaches at Liberty University and the University of Mobile, has recorded multiple hit songs, and has written three books, among other accomplishments. She and her husband, Richard Garcia, founded IN Worship in 2002 and seek to disciple people every day. She currently lives in Mobile, AL with her husband and their two sons, Michael and David.

We know from Scripture that it’s impossible to please God without faith, but life has a way of attacking our faith—draining its strength and stealing its joy. No one walks the pathways of this world without experiencing seasons of doubt or questioning her faith. So, when our faith runs very thin and seems almost nonexistent, what can we do? Every day we are bombarded by voices that measure our value and worth. Some of the noise is external—recognition or reprimand from our boss, a raise or demotion, and so much more. Sometimes, though, the voice is internal. It comes from our insecurities or is the voice of the enemy who wants to steal, kill, and destroy. All the while, the Lord delights in us and speaks love and truth over our lives. In this workshop, we will refocus on what God says of us and cancel the noise and false narratives of achievement focused work culture. We’ll also learn how to write our “I Am” statements by diving straight into Scripture.
