Program D-7274

Have you ever sung in a Gospel choir? One of the highlights of our weekend getaways is the Gospel choir that sings on Saturday evening.  Our 27th annual weekend getaway is coming up soon, April 17 – 19, and we will continue this really fun tradition of offering those who attend the opportunity to sing in a Gospel choir.

Donna and Charles Butler lead our worship team and on Saturday afternoon you can choose to attend the choir rehearsal and then sing on Saturday evening.  I’m always amazed at how polished these women sound after one rehearsal.  That’s just one special thing about our weekend getaway.  The music is always uplifting and inspiring, and once again Damaris Carbaugh will be with us to bless us with her unique gift of music.

We begin on Friday evenings, when all of the speakers participate as we introduce the theme for the weekend, Fearless Joy.  We will focus all weekend on what it looks like to live in joy without the fears that often keep us in bondage.  Then Saturday we begin with a message from Jill Briscoe, our featured speaker, followed by several very powerful workshops you can choose from.  Saturday evening we’ll hear an amazing story from two Iranian young women who spent almost a year in prison in Iran for the sake of the Gospel.  And we close on Sunday morning with a meaningful worship service.

It’s a weekend designed to give you time to hear from God, to renew you, to refresh you, and to send you home with a lighter load and a joyful heart.
